Accessibility
Klasen Development wants this site to be easy to read and use for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnified screen.
What has been done
- Contrast. Text and link colours are chosen to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast targets, and an automatic check measures each pair of colours.
- Keyboard. Every link can be reached with the keyboard, shows a visible focus outline, and a "Skip to content" link comes first on each page.
- Privacy choices. The analytics card is a labelled region at the bottom of the screen; it never covers the whole page or stops it scrolling. Its buttons are ordinary buttons, reached with Tab and pressed with Enter or Space. The Privacy choices link in the footer reopens it and moves focus to it, and closing it returns focus to the link. Escape closes it once a choice stands and never makes a choice for you.
- Structure. Each page has one main heading, headings in order, labelled navigation and a declared language, so screen readers can move through it.
- Images. Every image has a text description.
- Screen sizes. Pages are checked in a real browser at phone, tablet and desktop widths, for content that runs off the screen and for tap targets that are too small.
- Motion. The site has almost no motion, and if your device asks for reduced motion, colour transitions are turned off.
What has not been done
The site has had no formal audit or certification. The checks above are the company's own, run by script and by eye in a browser, and they cannot catch every problem.
Reporting a problem
If something on the site is hard to read or use, please write to admin@klasen-development.com. Say which page, what you were trying to do and, if you like, what you use to browse. Every report is read.
